The Sustainable Communities Project has focused on addressing environmental challenges in the Pearl River Delta region, such as water pollution prevention and mitigation in the Pearl River Basin to climate change. Through mobilizing the local community, establishing networks on environmental issues, and constructing pilot community actions, as well as developing action plans for various environmental changes through research and pilot initiatives, the project aims to increase the participation of residents in building resilient communities.
This programme conducts regional and community impact assessments of climate change in the PRD region explores community action plans to address climate change, and promote public awareness and capacity building on climate change.

“珠江守望者”项目已于2021年正式关闭。 该项目打造珠江流域环境议题网络，在全流域（6省，48个地市）招募社会组织成为网络共建伙伴，为共建伙伴提供小额资助（非限定性）、公众参与活动工具包、联合行动、网络运营等支持，以培育本地的河流守望者团队，实现珠江流过的每一个地方都有守望者，推动更多本地居民和社会主体持续关注社区环境，参与多元治理。
